Shipyards, which the Urban Land Institute has recognized as one of the largest riverfront urban redevelopment projects in the state of Florida, will feature a contemporary design that flows with the contours of the St. Johns River.

A public pier, Shipyards Pier Park, will extend 700 feet into the St. Johns River, becoming a new icon for the city.

Expansive public and private areas, open space and piers designed as floating parks with landscaped gathering areas are all connected by Shipyards Pier Park which extends 700 feet into the St. Johns River from the Riverwalk. The massive pier will be among the project’s distinguishing features as well as an icon for the city.

The community’s first phase of four mixed-use towers is located on the parcel of land west of Hogan’s Creek and comprises approximately half of the property. Amenities include a restaurant, lounge and shops, an expansive fitness center and spa facility overlooking the marina with areas for pilates, yoga, aerobics and many other wellness opportunities.

Residents will have access to two swimming pools, two tennis courts and other rooftop athletics with views of the river city serving as the backdrop. A riverfront marina will offer private slips for residents as well as public access for boaters.

The first building within this initial phase will be a tower of 331 one-, two- and three-bedroom residences priced from the low-$300s into the millions. One third of the residences are planned for one-bedroom designs that appeal to a wide variety of urban dwellers.

This initial tower is located in the heart of the community and will include extensive recreational opportunities and features exceptional views of the downtown skyline and the St. Johns riverfront. Alltel Stadium, the Baseball Grounds, the Veterans Memorial Arena and Metropolitan Park are all within walking distance, offering hundreds of exciting events every year.

LandMar plans to energize Bay Street by adding retail shops and on-street parking, and partnering with the city to make landscape improvements.
