The VUE at Lake Eola will be one of the first condominium buildings in the area to use the biometric fingerprint scanning system. When residents arrive at The VUE's lobby in 2007, they'll be greeted by the 24-hour doorman. After that, all they'll need is their fingerprint to get into the resident-only areas of the building. Entry cards and keys are a thing of the past.

After Proximiti Communications outfits The VUE, it will be one of the most technologically advanced residential buildings in the Southeast. Wi-Fi will be available throughout the building at speeds 30 times faster than DSL or cable offerings. And residents who work from home will have the cabling in place for sophisticated home networks with network connectivity better than most offices.

The VUE offers residents high-end amenities including a health club, cyber cafe and 6,000 sq. ft. of retail space. A concierge will be on hand to cater to residents' every whim, whether it's tickets to a sold-out show or restaurant reservations. The 6,000 sq. ft. of ground-level retail space will be open to the public and an art collection will fill the lobby.

Located atop the deck of the parking garage, the recreation room is equipped with plasma TVs, an unmanned bar with refrigerator and microwave, a pool table, dartboards and a common seating area. Additionally, the recreation room features a giant cinema screen with surround sound and comfy seats for viewing.
